Price Is Right Showcase Showdown — Game Rules
Price Is Right Showcase Showdown — Game Rules
Game Object: To be the contestant who is closest to $1.00, without going over, in one spin or a combination of two spins.
Game Contents: Includes wheel, base, frame, arrow with connector peg, scoreboard, and 20 score tiles.
Number of Players: The game is typically played with 3 contestants; however, you might decide to play with more or less than that.
Game Play
- The wheel is positioned on $1.00 prior to the first spin. Subsequent spins are from where the previous spin landed.
- The wheel must go all the way around once, each time the contestant makes a spin. If it does not, redo the spin from where it landed.
- The first contestant has 2 spins to reach a total of $1.00 in one spin or a combination of two spins. They may stop after one if they feel their score is good enough to win. If they go over $1.00 after adding their two spins together, they are eliminated. If they stay on a score that is less than or equal to $1.00, place the tile with their score in the scoreboard.
- The next contestant repeats the process; however, if their score is less than the first contestant, or if they go over $1.00, they are eliminated. If this contestant now has the better score, replace the score tile in the scoreboard with the new score to beat.
- The final contestant automatically wins if the previous contestants went over $1.00 and are eliminated. They would only spin once, in order to attempt to land on $1.00.
Bonus Round
- If any contestant reaches $1.00 exactly, they get to take one bonus spin.
- Place the wheel on 5 to begin. If more than one contestant reaches $1.00, this round is also a tie-breaker. Each contestant starts with the wheel on 5.
- If the contestant lands on a green area, they win a bonus. If they land on the red area, they win a larger bonus.
The Spin Off
If two or more contestants have the same high score and the total is less than $1.00, do not reset the wheel; play it where it landed last. Both players will spin one time. Highest score wins. If they are still tied, repeat. The contestants will always spin in the same order.
Winning
The winner is determined by who landed closest to $1.00 without going over.
